No accounts, no personal profile

You do not need an account to use this site or to submit a wait-time report, and we do not ask for your name, email address or phone number anywhere on it.

What we store

• Device identifier. When you first report a wait time or set an alert, your browser is given a random anonymous identifier stored in its local storage. It is used to weight reports and rate-limit abuse. It is not linked to you and can be cleared by clearing site data in your browser.
• Wait-time reports. The crossing, direction, minutes reported and the time. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address (with a secret key, so it cannot be reversed) to detect bulk submissions from a single network. Raw IP addresses are not stored with reports.
• Optional location. If you choose to share your location when reporting, we check whether you are within about 2.5 km of the crossing and store only a yes/no flag — not your coordinates.
• Push alerts. If you turn on an alert, we store your browser's push subscription (an endpoint URL and keys issued by your browser vendor) together with the crossing, direction and threshold you chose. Turning the alert off deletes it.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider keeps standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting for a limited time.

Cookies and local storage

The site itself sets no tracking cookies. It uses browser local storage for your device identifier, your preferred direction, and alert settings. Third-party advertising (below) may set its own cookies.

Advertising

We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on your visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings, and read Google's policy at policies.google.com/technologies/ads. Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland are shown a consent message before personalised ads load.

Third-party data sources

Wait-time figures come from U.S. Customs and Border Protection and the Canada Border Services Agency. Requests for those feeds are made by our server, not your browser, so those agencies do not see your visit.

Data sharing and retention

We do not sell or rent any data. Reports and history are kept to build typical-wait statistics; device identifiers that have not been used for more than 12 months are periodically purged. Data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Hostinger and Supabase) in North America.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we knowingly collect no information from them.

Your choices

Clear your browser's site data to remove your device identifier and settings. Turn off an alert to delete its subscription. To ask about or request deletion of anything associated with your device identifier, email rpmrcreations@gmail.com.
