Windsor–Detroit border cameras: Ambassador Bridge, Tunnel and Gordie Howe

Every link checked October 10, 2026 · Cameras are run by the bridge, tunnel and highway agencies; we link to them and do not host any images

Live border cameras show you the line before you leave. Here is every public camera at or near the three Windsor–Detroit crossings, grouped by crossing, with the current official wait next to it. A camera shows how long the line is; the wait time shows how long it is taking.

Highway cameras around Windsor and Detroit

Windsor: Ontario 511’s map (turn on the Cameras layer) covers Highway 401 and the Rt. Hon. Herb Gray Parkway from Ojibway Parkway east past the Highway 3 roundabout and Manning Road. It has no cameras on Huron Church Road, Wyandotte Street or E.C. Row away from the 401.

Detroit: MDOT’s MiDrive camera list covers I-75, I-96, I-375, the Lodge (M-10) and downtown streets, and the MiDrive map shows collisions and closures. MDOT removes cameras that are expected to be down for more than a day, so a link above may occasionally show nothing.

Common questions

Is there a live camera at the Ambassador Bridge?

Yes. The Detroit International Bridge Company streams two official cameras on ambassadorbridge.com: one for traffic heading into Canada and one for traffic heading into the United States. Both are linked on this page.

Is there a Detroit-Windsor Tunnel camera?

Yes. Both tunnel operators show live cameras on their home pages: dwtunnel.com on the Detroit side (Randolph Street and both inspection areas) and takethetunnel.com on the Windsor side. The players pause after about 15 seconds; press play again.

Are there cameras on the Gordie Howe Bridge?

Not public ones yet. The Windsor-Detroit Bridge Authority lists its live camera feeds as coming soon. Until then, the closest public cameras are Ontario 511’s Highway 401 at Ojibway Parkway / E.C. Row camera and MDOT’s I-75 cameras south of Clark Street and at Dearborn Street.

Is there a camera on Huron Church Road?

Not a public one. Ontario 511 has no camera on Huron Church Road, and we could not find a public City of Windsor traffic camera feed. Use the Ambassador Bridge’s own into-the-U.S. camera and the live wait time instead.

Why use a camera and a wait time together?

A camera shows how long the line is; the official wait time shows how long it is taking to clear. A long line with many booths open can move faster than a short line with one booth open, so check both before you choose a crossing.

Camera feeds belong to the Detroit International Bridge Company, Detroit Windsor Tunnel LLC, Windsor Detroit Borderlink, the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Ontario Ministry of Transportation. This site is independent and is not affiliated with any of them. A link stopped working? Tell us.
